  • Advice on Artificial Grass Usage

Where you are laying down the artificial grass it needs to be level. Just the tiniest bump or lump will affect the way a ball rolls, and you want it smooth sailing in this game.

Carefully cut through the grass with a craft knife. Stay safe and ask for adult assistance if need be.

Ensure the synthetic grass is stretched tight and flat so the ball rolls properly. If it is too loose, the ball may jam.

In order to make your mini golf course fun and difficult, place your obstacles in good spots. Imagined how players will progress the course and made sure it is fun!

    Enjoy Your Mini Golf Course

Installing 50mm artificial grass takes minimal effort, and it’s super easy to use. You do not need to water, mow or fertilize it like you would normal grass. That means more time for play and fun instead of yard work.

  • How to Use Artificial Grass Make a Mini Golf Course Backyard?

Ready to have some backyard? What about creating your own mini golf course? It is a nice opportunity to be outdoors, except with family or friends. Want to turn your backyard into a fun and easy mini golf course with Szgrass artificial grass?

    A Step-by-Step Guide

The first thing that you need to do is decide what your mini golf course should look like. Did you know this is a pretty crucial step. Determine the location of each hole, as well as the number of fun elements (known as obstacles) you’d like to incorporate. Obstacles can also add as fun elements to the game. After having a plan in your head you need to arrange all of your materials.

With everything in place, you can now proceed to build your own fantastic mini golf course.

Cut out the greens: Cut each green shape using either plywood or cardboard. The green is the area in which the hole exists. Making a sort of template is really helpful; where all the greens are the same size, etc. In this manner, you course will appear tidy and organized.

Roll the grass: Now you simply need to roll out the artificial grass over each green. Be careful! With a craft knife, cut round the upper edges of the green Be sure to retain a bit more grass around the perimeters than you wish to get in the scratch bed so it can easily be tucked together later.

Then, proceed to fold the excess grass over the sides of the plywood or cardboard. After that, glue or staple it down. You will need to ensure the grass is nice and tight and smooth. If it is not, that ball will be unevenly rolled.

Add challenges: This is the fun bit! Use simple objects like cones, buckets, or even your kid’s toys to set up funny hurdles on your mini golf course. Consider where you want to put them in order to increase the difficulty level and fun of the game.

Personalise your course: Lastly you can sketch out your barriers and theme up your own minigolf course in any way that you wish! Here’s your opportunity to get creative and do something meaningful. Maybe you want to slap a nice coat of bright paint and some cool patterns on your obstacles.

  • Visit a Public Firework Display

A brilliant one to try out with your kids, especially during the celebratory season. Quick to put together, easy to execute, and a treat to watch!

    Good Music

Remember, it’s not all about the fireworks – music is key to a good party. The idea behind this is that once you have the music, your guests will be having a good time and dancing away, removing the need for a firework show! Ensure the music is a mix of party anthems and old favourites to keep your guests entertained the whole night through.

    Food & Refreshments

Aside from music, good food and refreshments is the cornerstone of a memorable party. Whether it’s a BBQ (read our recent post for more on BBQs and artificial grass) with hot dogs, burgers or steaks or simply a few kebab skewers, more than anything else, food will be the defining point of your party. As long as you keep your guests’ stomachs full and their thirsts quenched, they’ll be sure to have a good time.

    Visit a Public Firework Display

If none of the above is possible for you, then you might want to visit a public fireworks display. Public events often have the budget to produce some of the finest fireworks displays and attending one of these is a brilliant alternative. Grandiose, loud and spectacular, these displays are always worth a visit. Interesting fact – during the New Year’s Eve celebration of 2015, London spent £1.8 million on their fireworks display!

  • Non-Fire Fireworks

If the kids want to participate safely in Bonfire Night, try these ideas for non-fire fireworks. This one is a great idea for the little ones, and you might find some excitement in the experiments! Educational as well as entertaining, these ideas are a great alternative to fireworks.

    Mentos + Diet Cola

For a spectacular display of diet cola shooting metres up into the air, stick a few Mentos into a bottle, stand back and appreciate the science at work. The pair who made this experiment famous display how simple it can be in this video.

  • Fireworks – on Concrete

Does your garden have an area with concrete? This would be an ideal area to display fireworks. While fireworks on artificial grass might be out of the question, you have an alternative, which means not only do you get to have the best of both worlds, but you can also appreciate fireworks as well as your gorgeous new artificial lawn installation. Just be careful to keep the fireworks well away !

    Fireworks Lighting

If setting fireworks off in your garden isn’t an option, perhaps using firework-based decorations around your home is an alternative. Try using glittery, reflective decorations to emulate the sparkly, vibrant nature of fireworks. For example, Chinese lanterns, LEDs or traditional fairy lights can all look amazing. There are some great outside lighting options that can bring that firework vibe to your garden.

    Projections & Simulations

This is an unconventional way to showcase fireworks and celebrate Bonfire Night. Try projecting a firework display onto a blank wall, complete with the sounds to replicate a display. Safe, clean, and practical!

  • Can You Use Fireworks on Artificial Grass?

This time of year can be particularly exciting, especially for those looking forward to Bonfire Night. • Then consider climbers to add colour and texture to bland walls

    Decking

Decking is a great way to create flow from your property into your garden and create an outdoor space as an extension of your indoor space. This makes it the ideal place for furniture and an area to entertain and relax.

Choose a high-quality decking such as Millboard, which is an anti-slip, long-lasting, low-maintenance composite decking board that looks and feels like natural wood but designed to outperform it.

    Boundaries

Revitalise boundaries such as fences and walls. If your fence is looking a bit worse for wear, fix broken panels and treat it to a fresh coat of paint.

Then consider climbers to add colour and texture to bland walls and boring fence panels. Black-eyed susan, morning glory vine, hydrangeas, roses, clematis, wisteria, and purple bell vine are excellent for growing up a wall trellis or fence.

Another option is a living wall of herbs, annuals and perennials, or LazyWall Panels for the lush green look without the maintenance. Both will beautifully brighten up your boundaries.

  • There are trees of all shapes and sizes for all gardens big and small.

    Trees

Trees can add a whole new dynamic to your space. They can act as a focal point or showpiece, provide a shady corner to keep cool, and of course, are fantastic for the environment.

There are trees of all shapes and sizes for all gardens big and small. From a vibrant acer to an elegant bay tree to a flowering cherry tree to a big hornbeam with an elegant canopy, trees are a must for any summer garden.

    Paving

Dirt can accumulate over winter, so start by jet washing and weeding your existing paving to remove dirt and debris and instantly transform the space.

Or for something new and exciting, lay a new patio or paving. The design of a patio can impact the design of a whole garden. Whatever your style, from sleek and modern to country and rustic, there are a variety of paving materials, textures, and colours to create an interesting and eye-catching pattern in your garden.

  • Create Zones

By thinking of your outdoor space as an extension of your home, you can create different zones, or rooms, in your garden.

For example, in summer, you may want separate spaces for entertaining and relaxing.

The entertaining area may be on your decking and have a fire pit, bulb lights, and table and chairs for socialising and dining with family and friends.

The relaxing zone may be on the lawn under the shade of a tree and have a hammock swing and a water feature for complete peace and tranquility.
